Making Music with Children

Today I assisted with a piano composition (okay...the beginning stages of composition, but don't tell that to my young friend). The song was called "Dancing Snowflakes" - appropriate since it was snowing outside. The notes certainly danced on the page, and when it came time to perform her piece, the young music maker used her fingers to dance on the keys, just like the snowflakes that she had felt compelled to write about.
